MAPLE ARMOR
An international business producing fire alarm systems for both commercial and consumers is 14 acres in Innovation Park for the construction of a 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
POWERCO
LEDC played a key role in attracting the PowerCo/VW Gigafactory in St. Thomas. This $7 billion investment will employ 3,000 people and create thousands of spinoff jobs in our region.
ADURO
Aduro CleanTech has opened a new 6000 square foot facility in Newbold industrial park, employing 10. We organised and attended the grand opening.
UNIFIRST
New 58k square foot industrial laundry facility on 9 acres in Innovation Park. Unifirst has grown their employee count by 55 and made multimillion dollar investments into state-of-the-art capital equipment.
In 2024, FL has attracted such high-profile projects as “Fubar” for Netflix starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carrie-Anne Moss, and “Motorheads” for Prime Studios starring Ryan Phillippe.
London has also hosted 3 feature film productions (so far) in 2024, one of which featured 80% local crew and talent.
We estimate that film productions in 2024 have accounted for over 1500 hotel room-nights.
Film London’s online database boasts 1800 users, 173 locations, 165 performers, 143 crew members, and 88 resources.
